How Add Page Numbers works

Privacy

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to a server, never stored by PDFNova, and never shared with anyone. Closing the tab discards them. The only exception is if a future tool is explicitly labelled as server-processed — this tool is not one of those.

Frequently asked questions

Can I skip the cover page?

Not in this tool — numbers are added to every page. For a cover-page exception, extract the cover separately, number the rest, then merge them back.

Do numbers overlap existing footers?

They are placed 36 points (half an inch) from the page edge, so they can overlap an existing footer. Check the preview before downloading.
