1. The service
PDFNova provides free, browser-based PDF tools. Working tools process files on your device. No account is required and no result is guaranteed for any particular file.
2. Permitted use
Use the tools only on files you own or are authorised to process. Do not use the Unlock tool on files you are not entitled to unlock. Do not use PDFNova to process unlawful material, or to remove protections, watermarks or redactions from documents you have no right to alter.
3. No warranties
The tools are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. In particular: compression may not shrink a given file; grayscale and unlock results are image-based and lose selectable text; cropping hides content rather than permanently removing it; watermarks mark a document but do not make content unextractable; and a signature image is not a certified digital signature. Always check the result before relying on it, and keep your original file.
4. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDFNova is not liable for loss arising from use of the tools, including loss from processing a file, relying on a result, or losing an original file. Your original files are never modified by PDFNova — every tool produces a new file.
5. Changes
These terms may change as tools are added. The version on this page applies to your use at the time.
