How Split PDF works

  1. 1.Upload one PDF (up to 50 MB).
  2. 2.Pick ranges like 1-3, 4-6, or choose one file per page.
  3. 3.Process and download each resulting PDF separately.

Privacy

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to a server, never stored by PDFNova, and never shared with anyone. Closing the tab discards them. The only exception is if a future tool is explicitly labelled as server-processed — this tool is not one of those.

Frequently asked questions

Can ranges overlap?

Yes. A page can appear in more than one output file if your ranges overlap.

What if a range exceeds the page count?

Processing stops with a clear error telling you the document's actual page count, so you can fix the ranges.

Do split files keep the original quality?

Yes. Pages are copied, not re-rendered, so content quality is unchanged.
